There is motivation for some seller's, that selling their property FSBO, they can save commission, and the owner will be in charge of the entire situation. This is true when the market is sellers market, and it is easier to use FSBO.
However in a market like today which is the Buyer's market the job is more challenging and it is not like a piece of cake!
If you are prepared to do the job, and you have done your homework then there is a better chance for you to succeed, in case this is your 1st try put some deadline for your project like 45 days (in Seller's market it could be much shorter) after that you can analyze that it is what you are prepared to do?
The saving for FSBO is usually 6% of the property price, which is going rate for commission and half of that go to listing, and the other half to buyer's real estate agents. You could save all the commission or half of that if you are open to work with buyer's agent. Some realtors are willing to go for a lower commission rate .It depends to your agreement.
Some Buyer are interested to check the FSBO, and see if they can buy it lower than similar property, however be ware of its legalities and other responsibilities of seller, especially disclosures and do not forget to ask your lawyer to lead you all the way.
If all goes well, then your reward is the money you saved and the experience you obtained for your next FSBO transaction.
